Rugby League on IPTV

Super League, the World Cup and Wembley

The 2026 season has already delivered its headline: Warrington Wolves against Wakefield Trinity in the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford on Saturday 3 October, with a new name guaranteed on the trophy. Sky Sports has the whole competition, every round, from February to the final.

Immediately afterwards the focus moves to the Rugby League World Cup, which runs from 15 October to 15 November 2026 in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea, ending with a men’s and women’s double-header at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. The BBC has the UK rights, so the tournament is free-to-air here.

One correction worth making, because it catches people out: there is no men’s Ashes series in 2026. The revived Ashes was played in England in autumn 2025 and the next edition is in Australia in 2028. What 2026 actually offers is the World Cup — plus the usual round of Super League, the Challenge Cup final at Wembley on 5 June 2027 and the NRL through the winter.
